Tulamben is a small fishing village on the north-east coast of Bali and it is probably the most popular diving area of the island thanks to the presence of the world famous USAT Liberty ship wreck.

The current here flows from the Indian to the Pacific Ocean bringing to Tulamben Bay water rich in plankton, and giving to this area its extraordinary and diverse ecosystem.

Tulamben is a volcanic area therefore the beach here is made of black pebbles and the bottom of the ocean consists of black volcanic sand, this combined with the plankton rich water gives to this place a relatively low visibility (especially compared to other areas of Bali), still the contrast of the dark sand with the colorful marine life makes this place magical and an awesome photo-shoot set for underwater photographers.

In Tulamben we use as base a beautiful beach front dive resort equipped with showers and changing rooms for your comfort.

The beach front restaurant will serve you delicious international or local cusine during your lunch break between the dives.

The entry point for the dives is just a few meters away from the resort and pretty much all the dives in Tulamben are shore dives, so it is an ideal place for divers who suffer from sea sickness.
